Dairy products and casein, both wer and dry, comprise the bulk of rage freight handled by Volck Brothers. This traffic originates in the Rice Lake area and is delivered to Chicago, Duluth, Minneapolis and St. Louis and St Paul. Mixed freight has been and is hauled from Duluth, Minneapolis and St. Paul to the area and Rice Lake, or direct to Chicago. Northbound movement from Chicago was and is general freight of all kinds.

Routes granted by the Interstate Commerce Commission on July 2, 1937 under certificate number MC 29937:

1)- Between Duluth, Minnesota and Chicago, Illinois, and intermediate points, over a route commencing at Duluth, Minnesota and thence over US Highway 53 to Eau Claire, Wisconsin, thence over US Highway 12 to Fairchild, Wisconsin; thence over US Highway 10 to junction with Wisconsin Highway 13, thence over that highway to its junction with Wisconsin Highway 73, thence over that highway to its junction with US Highway 51; thence over US Hwy 51 to Madison, Wisconsin, thence over US Highway 14 to its junction with Wisconsin Highway 140, then to the Illinois State Line, thence over Illinois Highway 173, thence to Harvard, Illinois, thence over US Highway 14 to its junction with US Highway 12, thence over that highway to Chicago, Illinois.

2)- Between Rice Lake, Wisconsin and Minneapolis and St Paul, Minnesota and intermediate points over a route commecing at Rice Lake and thence over US Highway 53 to its junction with US Highway 8, thence over that route to Minneapolis and St Paul.

Authority to serve off route points as follows:

– From Rice Lake to Cumberland over Wisconsin Hwy 48

-From Rice Lake to Angus over County Road C

– From US Hwy 53 and 8 to Prairie Farm, Wisconsin over County Roads D and F

-From US Hwy 53 and 8 to Hillsdale, Wisconsin over Wisconsin Highway 25 and County Road D

– From US Hwy 8 to Clayton, Wisconsin over WI Hwy 24

-From Illinois Highway 76 to Illinois Highway 173 near Chemung, Illinois
